Choosing a Topic

Through group critique in class I decided on choosing Playgrounds in Wellington as my final idea. By having children as the target audience for my brochure the possiblities for colour and illustration styles could be quite fun and exciting. There are many possible routes I can take this topic which is the main reason for my decision. 

The critique with my peers also enabled me to narrow down my selected playgrounds to:

Understanding the Brief & Initial Ideas

After going through the brief with the class and discussing it in smaller groups, I began to understand what was required for the assignment and also what was suitable as a topic for the brochure. 

By using brainstorms, I mapped out my broad range of ideas and delved further into more detailed aspects bout each of the activities. Alongside a small amount of research, I ended up with some good examples but was unsure of which one was best to develop:

• Animal Spotting
• Volunteering
